Winstanley Kerridge are delighted to announce that Kimberley Marshall is now fully qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was presented with her Certificate (CA) at the presidential luncheon held by the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia/New Zealand at Wither Hills on Thursday 23 October 2014.

This major achievement follows several years of hard work, dedication and training which include a four year Bachelor of Commerce university degree and three years of practical experience under a mentor, the last 18 months here at WK.

What differentiates a Chartered Accountant from any other accountant?

A Chartered Accountant is:

    •  Rigorously trained for a minimum of six years to achieve the CA designation;

    •  A member of the New Zealand / Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants;

    •  Required to undertake lifelong mandatory professional development training (a minimum of 120 hours of training over each three year rolling period);

    •  Bound by the code of ethics of the Institute and is required to adhere to professional standards;

    •  Subject to disciplinary procedures by the Institute;

    •  Subject to random reviews of their professional practices (where they offer services to the public).

Today's business environment is becoming more complex and getting the right advice can mean the difference between success and failure. Chartered Accountants are experts, up-to-date on the latest business issues and committed to on-going professional education.

Engaging a Chartered Accountant is a smart investment and your assurance of quality and expertise. Here at Winstanley Kerridge Ltd, we are committed in supporting all our staff in their on-going professional development. Our congratulations to Kim for achieving her certificate.
