CUSTOMERS ARE KING!

Often when discussing financial results with clients, it becomes evident that our clients need to improve their turnover to support their overheads and profit aspirations. Unfortunately, this is an area where we don’t always have all the answers.

Often when discussing financial results with clients, it becomes evident that our clients need to improve their turnover to support their overheads and profit aspirations. Unfortunately, this is an area where we don’t always have all the answers.  But a major element of winning new business is having strong customer focus and an in-depth understanding of what your customers want you to provide.

One of the top performing global companies in customer satisfaction surveys is Amazon. Jeff Bezos, one of the founders uses the “empty chair” trick in the boardroom so managers know who the real boss is.  Bezos tells all managers to consider that empty chair is occupied by a customer and that “the customer is the most important person in the room”.  This ensures the Amazon customer is always at the centre of all decision making. And this has helped Amazon grow into a market leader in the competitive e-commerce world.

So do you really know what your customers want from you?  When was the last time you asked your customers?

To assist you with this important task, Winstanley Kerridge will be introducing a simple online customer feedback tool early in the New Year. We will provide more information after Christmas.
And we are listening to our own message and will be conducting our client research early in the New Year.  We would really appreciate you taking 5 minutes to give us this feedback.
In the meantime, try the “empty chair” trick and see if you can grow your top line.
