Significant growth opportunities ahead
Winstanley Kerridge in association with Vantagepoint and Westpac are pleased to offer this complimentary seminar which will present the findings of recent research undertaken by Vantagepoint.
This is the first of four free seminars Winstanley Kerridge are offering the region’s business owners this year.
There is no doubt a period of unparalleled activity and growth is about to hit the building and construction industry.
Forecasts made by the Productivity Partnership and Pacifecon have predicted a peak of $32 billion in construction value in 2016, 23 per cent higher than in 2007.
Vantagepoint’s director and seminar presenter David Lewis says the building and construction industry needs to be prepared.
“With growth at the levels predicted, businesses in the sector need to take a proactive approach to planning for growth, otherwise they risk being unable to cope with the demands on resources and people."
Earlier this year almost 200 businesses provided feedback for Vantagepoint’s latest GrowthGuide report. Winstanley Kerridge director Neil Sinclair, says the feedback provided valuable insight into the opportunities available for the building and construction industry.
“Future planning means businesses need to think smarter about how they prepare for growth before the opportunities arise,” he says.
“Businesses are asking themselves what resources they need to have in place to service the increased level of activity. From funding, to staffing, new product development, to technology, those taking the time to prepare will be in a strong position when the predicted peak hits in 2016.”
The complimentary Winstanley Kerridge Building and Construction Seminar is being held at the Marlborough Convention Centre from 5.15-7.30pm on Wednesday July 30.
