The Year That Was - 2015
It’s been another big year at WK, with Xerocon, Fieldays and the launch of our new branding and the launch of the innovative customer service and instant feedback software Ranqx.
With 2016 just around the corner, we thought we’d look back at some of the highlights.
In March, our team took part in the Cancer Society's annual fundraiser Relay For Life, and raised more than $1500 for this important cause. You can read all about it here.
In April a few of WK's directors travelled to Auckland for Xerocon, where we launched the new live customer feedback and financial benchmarking software Ranqx. The software was developed by a group of New Zealand businesses, including WK and we are very proud to have New Zealand banker Sir Ralph Norris on board. Blenheim coffee roasters and cafe CPR was the first business in the world to sign up to Ranqx.
In June Greg Newman and Matt Kerr attended Fieldays at Mystery Creek to man Xero's Figured stand. Figured is the new cloud-based accounting software specifically for farmers. We've been rolling it out to our clients over the past 18 months and Greg Newman is known to be something of a Figured expert, as he was one of the first people to test the software in its early stages. "To say technology is being widely used in farming is an understatement," Greg said. "Farmers want more from their accountants than just getting their tax returns filed." As early adopters of Figured, we've been able to keep pace with our clients and ensure they get the level of service they expect. Exciting things to come with Figured, so watch this space!
In September we launched our new brand and website which reflects our position as world leaders in the field of accounting as well as our connections and partnerships in business. After 40 years serving Marlborough under the Winstanley Kerridge banner, it was exciting to refresh our look and demonstrate our value added proposition.
In November WK director Matt Kerr took part in the annual Wine Works Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Yacht Race. Skippering Satellite Spy and carrying Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc, he placed second on line and second on handicap. Stellar end to the year.
We hope you've all been enjoying the festive season with family and friends and are looking forward to another stand up year in 2016. Wishing you a very happy New Year, from the WK team.
