WK's highlights from 2014

We kicked the year off with a bang at the XEROCON 2014 awards in Auckland when one of our directors Neil Sinclair picked up Xero's innaugural Most Valued Person Award. You can read the full story here.

 

 

 

You probably wouldn't believe us if we told you that Xero founder Rod Drury said the last person he thinks about at night is Neil, so don't take our word for, here it is straight from the big guy's Twitter account:

 

Later that month, some of the lads did a top job, squashing the rest of the competition in the local Business House Squash tournament.

 

 

In March our newest director Hamish Morrow was crowned Marlborough Residential Senior Tennis Champion for 2014 after winning a very entertaining and hard fought victory over Anthony Walkenhorst 6-0, 7-6(3)

 

Marlborough Boys' College First XV had another cracker season, it was great to be on board as a sponsor again this year.

 

 

As proud sponsors of the Marlborough Book Fest, we were stoked the inaugural festival was declared a success, and already looking forward to next year's event - thank you Marlborough!

 

Having been on board during the developmental stages of Figured on Farms, Xero's innovative accounting solution for farmers, we were excited when it was officially launched at Fieldays in June. Read more about it here.

As supporters of the Marlborough Equestrian Park, we were thrilled when it opened.

 

 

There were some great games at Lansdowne Park this year - especially when Counties Manukau came to town, with Sonny Bill Williams:

 

 

 

Marlborough were lucky hosts of the New Zealand Governor General and his lovely wife in September

 

Our team had a great day out on the water at the annual Corpr8 Rowing Challenge in October

 

 

We were thrilled when Marlborough District Council unveiled the new Marlborough brand and story for the region Only Marlborough

 

And a big hand for our very own Kim Marshall who received her CA certificate in November

 

 

Chuffed to see the Marlborough Airport expansion going well

 

And there's Hamish smashing it on the tennis court again

 

 

And before you know it - it's Christmas time again!
