What is it?
Xero Projects is “A simple way to capture, track and report on the time and money spent on each job so you can proactively invoice, make informed decisions and manage your business more efficiently.”
The initial release of Projects will be a great tool for small business in the professional services industries; digital, creative and IT. However, other industries will continue to be added as Xero further develops the Projects feature.
Using this simple time and cost tracking tool will allow you to keep an eye on all the jobs you have on the go, which will make it easier to stick to budgets and pinpoint where each job is at. Projects allows you to monitor your projects’ budgets, through easy project invoicing and both fixed price and time billing.
Projects focuses on the financial side of project management, and integrates with other Xero features such as contacts, invoicing, bills and bank reconciliation. So, if you are a small business with simple costing needs, projects might be just what you need to make your life a little bit easier.

Currently, Xero Projects is only available to Partners who can invite selected clients to use Xero Projects for free until the end of 2017. Projects will be available free of charge until the end of 2017. From January 2018, an introductory price of $7 per month will apply. Once the introductory period ends the on-going cost of Projects will be $10 per month.
